Skin Rx

The philosophy of the Skin Rx program holds that more radiant and healthier-looking skin results from actually creating healthier skin. At Étoile, the Skin Rx experience begins with a complete skin history and evaluation including the Visia Skin Analysis System. As well-informed and highly expert skin practitioners, we can make the best recommendation for a customized skin plan utilizing a combination of a home skincare regimen as well as professional treatments.

If your goal is to treat conditions such as anti-aging, sun damage, melasma, sensitivity, rosacea, or acne, we work with a full complement of medical-grade treatments and technologies to achieve your skin goals including facials, microneedling, intense pulsed light (see laser page), peels, microdermabrasion, microchanneling and LED treatments. We follow you longitudinally and can measure progress with a follow-up Visia. This is a results-driven program that is going to have you love your skin over and over again!

Visia

Visia Consultation

Visia, a unique skin analysis system is the first step in the Skin Rx consultation at Étoile. The results guide us in creating the framework for a customized treatment program designed specifically for you. Visia skin analysis provides multi-dimensional imaging of your skin to obtain information regarding spots, pores, wrinkles, and textural variations. Visia provides a percentile score for each of these indications based on age, gender and skin type. In addition, Visia is also a useful tool to measure the response to treatment by creating accurate, detailed and standardized before and after photographs.

Medical Facials

medica facials

Medical Facials take professional skincare to a whole new level.  Medical facials start with the steps of a spa facial, utilize products that have a therapeutic effect and incorporate other technologies (see below) in the treatment to achieve an elevated experience, one that is results-driven in achieving healthier and thus more beautiful skin. The facial that best suits your skin’s needs will be determined by you and your professional skin specialist at the time of your appointment.

Microneedling

Microneedling

Medical Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, offers exceptional skin rejuvenation by retexturing the surface of your skin via stimulating healthy collagen and elastin production in the deeper levels. Thus resulting in intrinsically younger, healthier skin.  It may also improve the appearance of many skin conditions, as it helps to tighten loose skin, refine fine lines, smooth rough texture, reduce pores and improve uneven complexion. Unlike lasers, there is no destruction of healthy skin layers and it is safe for all skin types.  Additionally, it is an effective treatment for scars from acne, burns or surgery as well as for the reduction of stretch marks.

We use both medical dermal rollers as well as SkinStylus®, a handheld pen device with fine surgical needles. Both create micro-perforations in the top layer of the skin, which in turn stimulates the body to create new collagen and elastin. Medical microneedling is best done in a series with scheduled maintenance treatments thereafter. The procedure is comfortable with little to no downtime.

Chemical Peels

Peels

Peels are an important treatment for healthy-looking skin. An effective treatment option for most skin types and concerns, peels improve tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles, breakouts and dark spots. In short, they lighten, tighten, brighten! Skin cells naturally turn over every 18 to 20 days resulting in a healthy, vibrant look. As we age, this process slows down resulting in a dull, fatigued, lackluster appearance to the skin. Chemical peels stimulate cell turnover to restore radiance to your skin.

At Étoile, we perform several types of peels including Environ lactic acid and TCA, Eminence Organic salicylic, mandelic and artic berry and PCA retinol. We customize each treatment based on an individual’s skin condition, type and goals. Chemical Peels are best done in a series with scheduled maintenance treatments thereafter. The procedure is comfortable with little to no downtime.

Facial Treatment and Chemical Peel

Microdermabrasion

miccroderm

Microdermabrasion with the MegaPeel Silver by DermaMed has been clinically proven to be an excellent non-invasive, skin resurfacing treatment. The MegaPeel is a medical-grade microdermabrasion that provides the option of both crystal or diamond head technology to achieve an ideal professional exfoliation. The exfoliation achieved with a MegaPeel treatment will leave your skin feeling smooth and looking revived. In addition, your make up will have a smoother appearance when applied and skin care products including therapeutic serums, peels, and moisturizers will absorb better, doing more for your skin. Microdermabrasion delivers consistent results with little or no discomfort. It is best performed in a series with maintenance treatments to follow. There is little to no downtime.

Microchanneling

Procell Microchanneling

A single treatment creates hundreds of thousands of microchanneling. In response to each micro-injury, an inflammatory healing process begins which initiates the formation of new collagen. Over time, the repeated healing process improves the surface texture and the overall appearance of the skin. Microchannelings facilitates absorption and delivery of important factors in collagen production such as peptides and growth factors.

LED Light Therapy

LED technology delivers clinically proven Blue, Red and Near Infrared wavelengths via proprietary LEDs to ensure focused and optimized penetration of light into the skin. This treatment increases microcirculation, tissue repair, and decreases inflammation  to help compromised skin cells regenerate. It does so by utilizing these three wavelengths either in an individual or multi-wavelength treatment for maximum anti-aging and anti-acne skin enhancing results.

Frequently

Asked

Questions

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

As skin conditions vary day to day, our aestheticians will conduct a thorough evaluation of your skin with each session and customize a treatment specifically to your skin’s needs. Thus no two treatments are the same.

How often should a facial or treatment be performed?

Facials and treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks for preventative maintenance and every 2-3 weeks for corrective treatment such as antiaging, acne, pigment. In addition, facials are important with the change of seasons as one’s skin changes.

What skincare lines do you use?

At Étoile, we use only organic and cosmeceutical-grade products. Cosmeceuticals have medicinal properties and are problem-focused, results-driven skin therapeutics that are recommended per the guidance of skin professionals.  We use in both our professional treatments and for home use a  combination of   Environ, Neocutis, Eminence,  and PCA skincare lines based upon your skincare needs and preferences. Please see the products page for further details on our product lines.
